Most humans have scarring of some kind, sometimes due to operations or interventions, or sometimes due to accidents. This work is for anybody with any form of scarring. Scarring can cause restrictions in movements, pain and varying levels of emotional distress. The first session of ScarWork with me allows some time to address the emotional aspect which tends to accompany scarring, and explains how the session will flow. ScarWork is a gentle, pain-free modality of hands on therapy with the aim of softening and transforming the scar tissue under the skin's surface. Growing research now shows the incredible power of light touch on scars, making deep, cellular-level changes in the tissues to promote integration, and ease of restrictive movement. This work restores the area with kindness and softness, and works in harmony with the body's own innate power to heal. Suitable for recent or older scars.
